In the UK there is a campaign to reduce speed limits in built up areas - 20 is plenty - re-inforced with sleeping policemen (raised bits of road) to re-inforce the message.
We live on one such road and, when I drive, I get pretty fed up with the slowness of it all BUT when you're on the receiving end of fast driving its a very different story.
You can hear the sound of a "Twenty is not enough.." driver speeding past our house as the track winds its way onwards.
